To some of you this motor may look like its seen better days, but there is plenty of strength and youth hidden underneath its aged appearance.

Its a JDM B16A run by a chipped P28.

Just got out the shop after getting the entire head re-built.

Head build includes:
Skunk 2 tunerseries STAGE 2 cams
Entire Skunk 2 valvetrain(springs/retainers/valves)
Timing belt
Skunk 2 intake manifold

So far she runs beautiful altho my friend cant really rev it up until its worked in properly.

Yes and no. They obviously have civics up there, but they also got that car, the Acura 1.7EL. It was priced below the Integra, essentially. I think theyre great looking cars.

Um, kinda. That one is the 1.6 EL. It's the first generation. The 1.7 EL is the second generation that you guys got in the States too.

And we got it up here as a replacement for the Integra sedan. We never got an Integra sedan for 1997-2001, making those pretty rare up here. We still got the hatchbacks up here though.

But that's a sweet car. I was considering one of those for a while. They seem to be coming down in price quite a bit.

Is your friend on www.clubel.ca?

He is running 2.5" cat back and he just replaced his headers with better ones as well as increasing his collector in/out to 2.5".
Actually he uses the very same MAGNAFLOW muffler and resonator i have on my Accord.

DC headers are a good brand but they dont gain any real horsepower. I think his new ones are called HyTech.

Yes he is on club EL but i dont know his name and im pretty sure he doesnt post much. He doesnt go to their meets either but he usually comes to Accord meets with me:p lol.

He bought it with the b16 already swapped, TEIN basics and GSR seats for $3500 and that was a year and a half ago! I think thats a great deal!
Since then hes spend about that much on the motor alone. Unfortunately these cars lose all their resale value once the engine is swapped(not so bad on the private market if you find a tuner who likes the work).

Oh ya one thing i forgot, the body has 400k Km's:eek: , but hey its in great shape, no rust, no road noise, no problems!

I got more pics!

Well if you did buy one im sure you would get plenty of looks in it being so rare in the states:cool:.........and the stock motor is basically a civic Si motor too........but it has all the same engine compatibility as any civic therefore strong potential to be a fast little whip.

hell im jealous too i want one!

......these cars come with some nice features too being Acuras including black leather interior and sunroof standard on all but the sport model.

Anyways as soon as he gets 2k kms on his now semi-built motor and its worked in properly i will get some videos to tease everyone more.
