Default f22b2 performance

What would be the easiest and cheapest way to get about 250 to 300hp out of my f22b2? And I've read that the stock bottom end should hold up is this correct if not how much power could I run on a stock bottom end?

Look into forced induction or nitrous oxide. Ether way, reaching 250-300whp and doing it properly, will cost money.

How much nitrous could I safely run on the stock bottom end or how much boost could I run with a turbo?

In bone stock form you "could" run up to 8psi for a while. You should get around or over 200hp from that.

If you are willing to swap pistons and do a few other minor internal things, you can likely reach 12-15psi safely. That can probably reach your goal. Adding anything over 15hp to an F22B2 is gonna cost some decent money.

What else internally would I have to do besides pistons?

Well the thing is if your doing forged pistons, you have to get a block re-hone anyways so you are spending some dough right there having to strip ur block right down and have it machined.

Its something you gotta research a lot. You can throw 6-8psi on it if it runs healthy now, but it may not last long if you abuse it. The piston ringlands are weak and you will blow ur compression and motor with it likely. If its a smaller turbo it may be ok, but thats not gonna get you 250hp. It will be a lot ore fun though and not as expensive as a full build.

how much money you got is the question.
250 - 300 reliable horsepower wont be cheap.
even a low pressure turbo set up , done properly will cost quite a bit.
a full engine rebuild with forged pistons will require a rebore to match the pistons so the clearances are right.
then there is getting the crank machined and bearings matched for clearance.
a line bore if needed, block decked so its flat and true, H beam rods if you are serious.
head decked, crack tested and chambers cc'd so all cylinders have the same compression.
new valves, springs and retainers, valve seats cut to a decent 3 or 5 angle job.
ports cleaned up.
new gaskets, seals,o rings, belts, tensioner and idlers.
and then there is an exhaust manifold, turbo, injectors, intercooler and an ecu to run it all.
you prob wont get much change from 10k.
and 250-300 reliable NA horsepower is even more expensive
and nitrous is for homos that watch to much fast and furious

So how much power do you think I could get doing a mild build say pistons, cam, port and polish, injectors, throttle body, air intake, header, exhaust something that's gonna cost around 2k to 3 and I could do at home. It's got pretty high miles but the speedo don't work the odometer says like 230,000 but the guy I got it from said it's probably more like 300,000 so I was planning on driving it the way it is this year and probably doing some work to it this winter I get laid off all winter. He said the speedo quit working when he hit a deer anybody know what this could be?

thats not high mileage!
there is a guy on 3geez with a half million mile car, original motor.
these things last forever with routine maintainence and not driving like a penis
